Sara McCain is a Professional Oil painter and Watercolorist. She specializes in animal portraiture and still life but loves painting various different subjects beyond that. Sara graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Arts in Art Education with All-Level Teaching Certification in Art Education through Texas Woman’s University in May of 2015.

Through the TWU Art education program and through working at Studio Art House she has gained diverse experience in working with different age groups and demographics of students. Sara has been apart of art classrooms at different levels throughout her education and has seen the benefits that art can bring to a person’s life. At Studio Art House she teaches art to students from three years old to Tween and has had experience teaching almost all ages.

Sara has also worked with many experienced artists and learned different techniques from them. She views that it always important to keep learning and improving upon her own skills.Sara has had experience with different mediums such as, charcoal, watercolor, acrylic, oil, pastel, and photography. Her work is mainly composed of portraits, landscapes, and still life. Sara’s favorite mediums to work in are Oil, Charcoal, and Watercolor. In each piece she works to capture a subjects likeness as well as the presence it gives to the space. Beyond personal work, she also does commission work with watercolor portraits of houses, pet portraits, and architecture for different people.
